HISTORY

Karate-Do is a martial art of self-defense that was introduced in Japan at the beginning of the 20th century by the great master Gichin Funakoshi, considered the father of this art. Originally from Okinawa, under the name To-de, its contrasting origins date back more than 3,000 years.

The practice of Karate-Do starts us on the path of balance between body and mind, as it allows us to acquire self-defense knowledge while our body progressively improves its physical condition. It is, however, practicing it as an art of perfection, thanks to its movements and the study of kata, that we begin the evolutionary path of controlling movement and breathing. This path is the beginning of the Gift or spiritual path.

The karateka always avoids, above all, violence. This is evident in their exercises, which always start with a defensive move.
