COPA NADAL

The Copa Nadal, historically organized by the Club Natació Barcelona, is the oldest swimming event in Spain and one of the most iconic in Europe. Its first edition was held in 1908, and since then, every 25th of December, the Port of Barcelona becomes the stage for a unique tradition that brings together hundreds of brave swimmers ready to cover around 200 meters in open water in front of the Moll de la Fusta.

With more than a century of history, the Copa Nadal is much more than a sporting event: it is a symbol of tradition, perseverance, and Barcelona’s spirit, keeping alive the CNB’s bond with the city and with the history of Catalan swimming.

Today, the CNB continues to promote this event as a celebration open to everyone —of all ages and levels— combining sport, solidarity, and the true spirit of Christmas.

The 2025 Copa Nadal is now history… and it has once again been unforgettable.

Once again, the Port of Barcelona has become the stage for one of the most emblematic moments of the Barcelona Christmas season. The 2025 edition of the Copa Nadal brought together athletes, families, and friends in a day marked by excitement, tradition, and the spirit of achievement.

The Copa Nadal has once again shown that it is much more than just a competition: it is a shared experience that thrills from the very first moment. The wait before the jump, the adrenaline of the start, and the challenge of the open waters are combined with moments of joy and fun, especially in the popular race, where everything is laughter and good vibes, making every moment an unforgettable memory.

In the absolute category, the main protagonists this year were once again Guillem Pujol (CN Mataró) and Laura Rodríguez (CN Barcelona).

  • Guillem Pujol won the men’s race with a time of 1:48, securing his twelfth consecutive victory in the Copa Nadal and establishing a record streak unmatched in the history of the event.

  • Laura Rodríguez claimed the women’s category with a time of 2:02, achieving her sixth victory in this race and reaffirming her dominance in the competition since 2018.

Two names that are now part of the history of one of the most iconic races of the Christmas calendar and who have once again raised the bar of excellence this year.
